What our care costs
In compliance with 45 CFR Part 180, Minimally Invasive Surgery Hospital publishes a machine-readable file of standard charges for every item and service we provide. Both files are below, free, with no registration.
Before you open them: a standard charge is not what you will pay. It's the list price before insurance, discounts or financial assistance. If you want to know what your care will cost you, skip to getting an estimate — that's the number that matters.
Standard charges — all items and services
The complete machine-readable file required by CMS: gross charges, discounted cash prices, payer-specific negotiated rates, and the minimum and maximum negotiated charges for everything we do. Large file, built for software rather than for reading.

Four different prices can attach to the same procedure. Knowing which one applies to you is most of the difficulty.
Gross charge
The list price, before any insurance or discount. Almost nobody pays this. It's in the file because CMS requires it, not because it predicts your bill.
Discounted cash price
What we charge someone paying themselves, without going through insurance. Often substantially below the gross charge. If you're uninsured or self-paying, this is your starting point — ask us for it.
Negotiated rate
What a specific insurer has agreed to pay us. Your share of it — deductible, copay, coinsurance — depends on your plan, not on us. Your insurer can tell you that figure.
Getting an estimate before you come in
You are allowed to know roughly what something will cost before you agree to it. Ask us — it's a normal request and we'd rather have the conversation early.
If you're uninsured or paying yourself
Under the federal No Surprises Act you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate — a written estimate of what your care will cost — before scheduled treatment. You don't have to argue for it and it doesn't cost anything.
Call our billing department and ask for one. If your final bill comes in at least $400 above the estimate, there is a federal dispute process, and we'll tell you how to use it.
If you have insurance
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your deductible, your copay and how much of your plan year you've used. Your insurer can give you the most accurate figure. Call us first and we'll tell you the procedure codes to give them.
Self-pay pricing
We offer a cash price for patients paying without insurance. Call ahead and ask for it — we'll give you a straight number rather than a range.
If you can't afford the bill
Tell us before the balance goes to collections, not after. Payment plans and other options exist, and the conversation is much easier while the account is still with us.
