Minimally Invasive Surgery Hospital (MISH) and Clinics is privately owned by Dr. Paramjeet Sabharwal and his wife, Dr. Wanda Kaniewski. This husband-and-wife medical team opened their first clinic/hospital facility in Lenexa, KS in 2005. Their vision was to create a premiere bariatric center that included some of the most weight challenged patients that other providers were unwilling to treat.  As a result, a lot of detailed planning went into selecting the location, design of the facility, equipment, and selection of professional medical staff.

In a short period of time, the patient base grew rapidly, and not just with bariatric patients.  This reinforced to ownership that many patients were looking for a better healthcare option.  In 2021, a new, much larger building was needed and purchased to meet the patient demand.  Just like in the first facility, ownership was committed to providing patients with a better healthcare experience that included: medical services in one building, easy access to parking, and comfortable furniture constructed for heavier weights.  The ownership also remained committed to increasing staff with quality/experienced medical professionals, that continued to serve their patients with dignity and respect.  The MISH culture has attracted other providers as well.  These additional providers, serves a number of patients general medical needs.  

Today, MISH Hospital and Clinics consists of a nine-bed hospital, three operating rooms, an extensive radiology department, an onsite laboratory, and a variety of medical professionals/services. We are proud to share with you that MISH Hospital and Clinics is a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accredited Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) and Comprehensive Weight Loss Surgery Center.  We are recognized as a Center of Excellence (COE) by the medical community, as providing the most expert and highest level of care.
